The marching band program at CRHS is part of a comprehensive music program that includes three bands, two orchestras, two jazz bands, multiple choirs, a winter activity (pep) band, and a competing winter colorguard. Musical opportunities are also found in areas such as pit orchestra for the spring musical, solo and ensemble performances, and the annual “Beats and Treats” Spring concert that allows students to showcase individual and group talent. Marching band is a class at Coon Rapids High School. There is no activity fee to participate in the Marching Band program at CRHS. Students begin to rehearse consistently the first week of August and in class during the first trimester.
Contact Brian Duffy, band director at CRHS, if you are interested in joining marching band, color guard, or drumline.
